West Side Story
Although West Side Story is essentially a tragedy, Leonard Bernstein's
music reflects the excitement, impudence, humor, and tenderness that
share a place with violence in the lives of the story's totally convincing
character. Cal Tjader and Clare Fischer have done a remarkable job of
preserving the intent of the original score while creating new music
that is entirely their own.
